As a
Professional Life Coach my objective is simple: I want to help people set and meet higher standards for themselves.
In order to grow and aspire to new heights, change is always necessary. But change can be daunting, especially when we find ourselves unprepared, or unresolved about what we really want.
This is when the supportive structure of Personalized Coaching can make a real difference. Not only can coaching help guide you through the turmoil of a crisis, it can help prevent crises from occurring in the first place. For Life Coaching is all about helping you manage your changes skillfully, which means consciously and proactively.
What is Exactly is Life Coaching?
Life Coaching is a conversation based, professionally structured relationship that focuses entirely on you and provides essentially three things:
- Inspiration and Encouragement to set compelling goals;
- An Enhanced Perspective through which powerful, strategic decisions can be made;
- Structured Accountability so that continuous action will be taken.
How does Coaching work?
Coaching begins by first helping you Get Clear about what it is you really want to achieve. Put another way: What really must change for you, right now, and why? The clearer you are about what you want to achieve and why, the more committed you can be to making the changes that are necessary.
The next step is to Get Prepared: This may involve identifying your obstacles and optimizing your skills, personal resources, and work or social environment to support your success.
Finally, coaching helps you Get and Stay Committed to a plan of action that together, we will be continually monitor and adjust as needed.

What does a Typical Coaching Session look like?
Most of my coaching is done over phone, partly because of convenience, but also because coaching is primarily conversation based, and phone sessions offer the simplest, most direct way to facilitate such discussions on a regular basis, especially for clients who are out of town. If visual access is considered necessary or beneficial, local clients can request an in-person session, and clients living at a distance can choose to meet periodically via skype.
Typically, sessions are scheduled weekly and last for about an hour. Clients are also invited to submit written assignments or share their progress via email. Depending on the client, coaching may include home study projects which utilize various written and audio-visual resources to support an active training regime.
What are the costs?
I’ve endeavored to keep my rates affordable, with monthly coaching packages costing as little as $200. For all clients based in Canada and the US, I offer to absorb the long distance phone charges.
Coaching Style:
My personal style of coaching is a direct, cognitive based intervention that is fueled by my enthusiasm, deep commitment to personal growth and almost 20 years of business experience. I am also trained to think critically, holistically and intuitively.
I have received instruction in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), self hypnosis, conflict management, and active listening. I have maintained a longtime interest in transformational psychology, philosophy, critical theory, and social development.
I am a practicing Zen student and maintain a passionate interest in exploring humanity’s many different “wisdom” traditions. (You know, what’s usually filed under heading “spirituality”, or “comparative/world religion”.) While not exactly religious myself, I am open and accepting of whatever faith my client may hold so long as it support’s their ability to think practically and with integrity.
Both professionally and personally I remain inspired and informed by the following perspectives:
- The Strategic Intervention insights of Anthony Robbins and Cloe Madanes’ Human Needs Psychology. (Currently enrolled in Certificate programs in both Strategic Intervention, and Marriage Education.)
- Lost Coin Development Zen and Excellence Training,
- Ken Wilber’s Integral Theory, or the “AQAL” approach to human development.
